What does that mean, how can you be paperless? Don’t you work with paper contracts? Yes! We do work with paper contracts, but our brokerage takes listings to sell homes and we write offers to purchase using a paperless system called dotloop. All of our legal, TAR forms are found in this digital system. We digitally fill in our contracts and e-sign everything.
As your Realtor, I spend less time shuffling papers around, checking page numbers for full sets and more time on you, my client. I can communicate faster and receive responses more quickly, so that we can get back to doing what’s most important- moving you forward!
What is this all about?
Dotloop’s motto is peoplework, not paperwork. They have created an easy to use, easy to understand paperless platform to help us (me and you) conduct our real estate business with ease and efficiency.
All of the legal forms we’ll use to complete your sale or purchase are found on on dotloop.
Here’s how it works:
- I, your Realtor, pre-fill all of your information and pertinent property details on the documents.
- Then legal documents are emailed to you with easy to see places for you to virtually sign.
- You open the email, review everything, that has been pre-filled, for accuracy and then you sign everything- online. Dotloop guides you through each document with flashing boxes and flags to mark each signature place.You do all of this online without needing to print anything out. No need for printers, scanners or fax machines!!
- Each time there is a counter or change in the contract, your signature is removed so that you aren’t signing anything without reading it first. You’ll resign the docs and DotLoop will update me.
- No more delays in document transmission because you don’t have a scanner and you need to meet me in person to sign and no more fax errors. You open email. You click the link. You sign. You’re done!
But don’t worry, you CAN print the documents out to sign and email them back to me.
You might be wondering- is this even legit?
Yes, your signature on dotloop is binding in the same manner that it is on paper. This signature and transmittal method is recognized by a court of law. Dotloop is used to expedite the transmittal of our legal instruments (contracts, addenda, disclosures etc).

Were you worried about how you were going to deal with all the paperwork? I thought you might have been. Before I ask you to review your contract, I’d like you to become familiar with dotloop technology. Please watch this dotloop Video.
There are subsequent videos that walk you through from start to finish. Please watch them all, I promise it will help you in the long run.
It may save you a little stress once we have an offer on the table that needs to be signed. It will save stress because you’re already familiar with the process!!
